This Privacy Policy explains how flowers ("we", "us"), [address — to be completed], collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit or buy from flowers.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and anything you write to us.
- Order information: the products you buy, order history and payment confirmation. Card details are entered on our payment processor's secure page and are never stored on our servers.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
To process and deliver your orders, send order updates, answer your questions, prevent fraud, comply with the law, improve the site, and — only if you sign up — send marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
How we share it
We share only what is needed with service providers who act on our behalf: payment processors, shipping carriers, email and hosting providers. With your consent, analytics and advertising partners (such as Google and Meta) may receive device and usage information through cookies. We may disclose information when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Chat with our store
Our website has a chat assistant, flowers's assistant, that is powered by artificial intelligence. It is not a person. It answers from our product, shipping and policy information, and a member of our team may read the conversation and reply. When you use the chat, we collect what you write and the assistant's answers, and the page you were on. Our service providers, Waise (our store platform) and Anthropic (the AI provider), process the messages for us and may not use them for their own purposes. We keep a conversation for 365 days after its last message and then delete it. Please don't share payment card numbers in the chat. You can ask us to delete a conversation at any time.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site working — your cart, checkout and accessibility preferences. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner; you can decline, and the site keeps working fully. You can change your choice at any time, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although blocking all cookies may prevent checkout.
Data retention and security
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and other personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or to resolve disputes. Marketing data is deleted when you unsubscribe and ask us to. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and share about you, and to get a copy of it;
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Chat messages: your conversations with our chat assistant are personal information too, and you may ask us to show or delete them;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Declining analytics and advertising cookies in our cookie banner opts you out on this browser;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — we will not deny you goods, charge a different price or provide a different level of service because you did.
Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, and do not load advertising or analytics cookies.
In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers, commercial information and internet activity information as described above, for the purposes described above. Where advertising cookies were accepted, device and usage information may have been "shared" with advertising partners as the CCPA defines it.
To make a request, email us at [email — to be completed]. We will verify your request using information we already have, such as your email address and order number, and respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others) may exercise similar rights the same way.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted here, with its date, is the one that applies.
